Hello. Apparently, as of 1982, those particular Brooklyn records have not been recovered. My 4g-grandfather's 1775 baptismal entry is among those missing records.

I discovered this upsetting news in a copy of The New York Genealogical & Biographical Society's "The Record", April 1982 vol 112, page 78. Records of the Reformed Church of New Utrecht, Long Island.

I quote,
"There is a hiatus in the New Utrecht records from 1741 -1776, during which period baptisms and marriages of New Utrecht inhabitants were recorded in the Flatbush and Flatlands Church books; and probably in the Brooklyn Church records, which were taken to England by John Rapelje during the Revolutionary War and have not been recovered"
