FHL US/CAN Film 2055243 Item 9 ------------------------------------------- Includes Casdorph and various spellings, Atkinson, Cavender, Guthrie, Kolb, Voss, Young, and related families. Harman Karsdorp, son of Jan and Geeske (Wijnants) Kasdorp, was born about 1660 in Dort, Dortrecht, the Netherlands. He married 15 September 1683 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Adriana de Voss, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Batten) de Voss, who was born January 27, 1662 in Amsterdam. Their 5 known children, Herman, Henry, Jane, Mary and Jacob were born in Amsterdam between the years 1686 and 1696. On May 5, 1700 Harmon and Adriana and their children boarded ship in Hamburg to come to Philadelphia. In 1708 they were members of the Memmonite Church in Germantown, Pennsylvania. Harmon died about 1717 in Philadelphia and Adriana died before 1713. The author traces her family from Harman to her grandchildren.
