We’ve hit a blank wall in finding more information about Samuel Feldman. Samuel is listed in the 1900 US Federal Census of Brooklyn NY. Samuel Feldman came to the United States in 1890. His wife, Fannie, came here in 1892. In 1900, the family lived on Watkins Street in Brooklyn. In 1900, he could neither read, write, nor speak English. In 1900, Samuel was listed as born in Germany, and both of his parents born in Germany, but in 1910 and 1920, his children note that their father was born in Romania In 1900, listed with Samuel and Fannie are their children, Ida, Ester, and Meyer. In 1910, Fannie Feldman is listed in the census of Charleston, South Carolina. In her household are the three children from New York, plus two more, Bennie and Etta, both born in South Carolina. Samuel is nowhere to be seen, and, in the married/divorced column, Fannie is noted as “WD”, apparently meaning “Widowed or Divorced”. We don’t know if Samuel died, or if they were divorced or he deserted. We assume that he died, between 1907 and 1910, because there doesn’t seem to be any family history about a divorce. We’d like to know something about Samuel’s parents, and we’d like to know about Fannie’s family. We’re grateful for any help 1 Samuel Feldman b: Mar 1875 in Germany d: Bet. 1907 - 1910 in South Carolina ..+Fannie (Unknown) b: Nov 1876 in Warsaw Poland ....2 Ida Feldman b: May 1896 in New York ....2 Esther Belle Feldman b: Oct 1897 in New York ........+Isaac Dumas b: 29 Jan 1894 in Doinsk [?] Russia ....2 Meyer Feldman b: Mar 1900 in New York City ....2 Bennie Feldman b: 1903 in South Carolina ....2 Etta Feldman b: 1907 in South Carolina Jim Patrick Tampa Florida Notify Administrator about this message?
