Hello Sebastiaan.
I didn't find any living relatives of Richard Wertheim but I did find that his wife's name was definitely "Florence" and her address in Brooklyn at the time. I also found that Richard's father Arthur was living in Jamaica, Queens, New York City as of 1947.
