I am looking for relatives of these ancestors.
1860 NY, Ward 22, dist 2,
John Ballman, 36, b. Ger, tailor
Anna, 30, b. Ire
Anna, 8, b. NY
Mary, 3, b. NY
John, 1, b. NY
My great grandfather is part of this family his name was Charles August Ballman born in 1862. Unfortunately, the parents died in 1868 due to a disaster in New York City. When children are orphaned they are so traumatized they don't remember alot about their family.
I just found out about his sister Anna, as well I just found out that John married Kate (don't know last name) and they had at least one child Caroline.
Mary was known as Maggie and when she married she became Maggie ROSS, she had a son named Frank, but the trail is unknown from there...any info?
My GGF Charles immigrated to Canada in 1912 with his entire family. If you are part of this family, I would love to hear from you. Perhaps we can piece together this mystery.
