Trying to knock down a massive brick wall.

My great grandfather Alexander Skinner bc 1810 in Virginia m Ann McGowan bc 1822 in Ireland about 1840. I am trying to locate his residence in Kings Co. about that time to identify the RC church he may have attended. Hopefully a marriage record might identify HIS parents. His death certificate is mute as to his father and mother.

His family (probably incomplete):

Ann E b 1846
George M b 1854
Eugene b 1856
Susan b 1859
Frank b 1865 (my grandfather)

Any information appreciated.
