Rita, I sent along a few census images that might be of interest. According to 1910 & 1920 censuses son Bernard was probably born 1903/04 and would have been too young to have had to register for the draft. If I come across anything else of interest I'll send it along. Two comments - in 1900 census mother Mary is listed as having given birth 5 times, with all still living, so you probably have another sibling out there. Also, John Jr. noted in 1930 census that he had been in World War so you might have some military records out there, also. Good luck, Bill.
