There is an error in my above posting. What I wanted to write was that the record in Holy Cross cemetery shows
Martin b 1846 died 1911
Mary b 1848 - died 1910
The Italian Gen Web site with certificate number, shows their age at death as Martin age 65, Mary age 62.
That information seems to coincide with the death certificate information listed on the Italian Gen page.

I think that is incorrect based on census information. Keep in mind that the census information is provided by the individuals themselves and not a child or other relative.

In June 5, 1880 Kings County Page 18, Supv Dist 2 Enum Dist 247 Census this family is living on Fulton Street
I am positive these are my ancestors.
Martin O'Brien is listed as age 45, (that would mean dob c 1835)
Mary as age 45 (that would mean dob c 1835)
Ann age 11 (my grandmother) and
William age 9.

That would mean, if the date of birth on the death certificate and in the cemetery/gravestone is correct. At age of death Mary would be approximately 75 and Martin would be age 76 years old.

If you consider that Mary died before Martin and it is likely he reported her death and age, rather than other family members, one might want to consider that the Mary O'Brien listed as dying Oct 24, 1910 at age 72, while not exactly accurate is closer to the census information.

I have also found a Martin O'Brien in a home for the aged after his wife's death
