Looking for any info on my long-lost uncle Albert I. DeKort(e). He was born in NYC as Isaac DeKort on October 28, 1879. Isaac married Rose Ober in NYC on August 3, 1902, and had at least one child, Adelaide DeKorte. I believe she was born in approximately 1905, but cannot find anymore on her. Anyone know if she ever married?
Albert worked for the NYC Transit Authority in the 1940s in Brooklyn, and in 1942 was living at 42 Grant Avenue, Brooklyn.
Albert and Rose (and Adelaide) are at Mills Street, Malden, Massachusetts in the 1920 Census, and they (minus Adelaide) were living on Madison Street, Brooklyn, according to the 1930 Census.
Albert died in Connecticut in April 1950, and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, NY. Rose died in Connecticut the following year (October 1951), and is also buried in Maple Grove.
Would love more on Albert DeKorte, Rose and the Ober clan, and especially on daughter Adelaide.
