There is a family story that Frank Baker's father was Thomas Baker, who was an engineer. I spent a lot of time looking for a Thomas Baker in Watertown, New York and came across your Thomas. However, according to Frank's death certificate, his father was actually Bezaleal and I have found Frank and Bezaleal in the census for Russell, New York in 1850. But I believe that Thomas of the family story was probably an earlier ancestor. So there may be a connection between our families. I will let you know if I find anything.
