I am looking for information on the family of my husband's great grandfather, Frederick Thomas Baker, who lived in
Watertown and Russell, New York and later in Nebraska, Colorado, Montana and California. Fred's parents were Frank Baker and Selena Colwell, who were listed in the 1850 census for Russell, along with Frank's parents Bezeleal/Barzelul and Catherine Baker and Selena's parents Joseph and Sylvia Colwell. According to a family story, after Selena died in an epidemic Fred and his sister Jane were bound out to an older couple who were either named Barnes or lived in Barnes Corner near Watertown. Does anyone have information on these families?
