Since I posted this message I have made contact with a number of Proulx relatives around the country. I now have a great deal more info on the Proulx's but almost none still on Malvina. The row houses you mention wer the mill houses for Crown Zellerbach paper mill that was across the street from them. Later on my Grandmother operated a rooming house for single mill workers at 802 West End Avenue. I had several friends who lived in the mill houses and used to visit them often as well.
