I don't know if this information links to yours, but there was a Col. Edmund Kirby, born in Litchfield, Conn, April 18, 1794--married Eliza Brown. He owned property in Brownville, served in various war efforts, died Aug 20, 1849 in Avon Springs, NY, is buried in Brownville Cem. I don't know anything about his children, so can't be sure that Mary is in his line. But perhaps it gives you a direction. Where is Vernon Twp, what county? Kirby was stationed at Detroit from 1815-1820.
