Hello,

I am curious if there is a member of the Jefferson County Historical Society who would be willing to swing by the archives to help me out.

I am looking for information on

Name: Joseph Henry Simpson
Born: October 6th, 1836 in Oneida, New York
Died: March 6th, 1894 in Watertown, New York

Military Information

Regiment: 35th New York Infantry (Company I)
Rank: 1st Lieutenant

Regiment: 18th New York Cavalry (Company L)
Rank: Capitan

GAR Post: Commander of 323 "Joe Spratt Post" Watertown, New York

Occupations:

-Blacksmith
-Veterinarian

JCHS boasts its GAR 323 collection as one of its top libraries. Considering that Joseph Simpson was the Commander, I would think it would be possible that they may have a photo on file (which is what I am looking for).
