Looking for information on Harvey Smith of Henderson NY.
Do you have a connection to this family?

We Photo and document the local cemeteries. check out our web site www.nnygenealogy.com we just finished Bishop Cemetery in Henderson NY

Last weekend a group of us started cleaning, repairing and raseing stones. This cemetery is small under a 100 burials.

It has eight 1812 and two Rev War soldier listed on and old (1967 list) at the Historical Society, we found all but two.

The families seem to be all connected too. Burial from 1811- 1890.

I really have no family connection. The task of tracking those buried in the cemetery as we finish one is the part I love the most. I work with the census, burial, Wills, Property deeds, local history, newspaper, etc., before I check online for any family history this way I can get clean /clear better picture.

This is what have know so far. Harvey died 2 Dec 1886 age 86y6m8d. His first wife Sarah (Bell) Smith died 13 June 1868 age 65y. Records show they married 2 Feb 1824. He married 2nd Nancy (Bell) Clark, she was the widowed sister of Sarah. Harvey and Nancy married in 1871. Havery and Sarah had four children listed on the 1850 census for Henderson; Eliza 25, Kinsly 22, Ellen 17, Albert 13.

We know they had three son's and six daughter's from
local resources;

Whitman married Lucinda Scott he drowned by the sinking of the steamer Lac La Belle, in Lake Michigan.

Cornelia E. married George A. Barney.

Adelia married A.K. Davis.

twins)Ermina E. married William Pitt Davis.
and Eliza E. married Lester Muzzy.

E. Kinsley married Annetta Bull.

Lucinda B. married M. M. Rice, a Methodist clergyman.

Ellen A. married Col. L. K. Bishop.

Albert O. married Lucy Ann Van Winkle.

We are pretty sure Harvey is the son of Asa and grandson of Ebenezer Smith.

Any help on Harvey Smith family would be greatly appericated.

Boni
