Howe / Carpenter lineage
Posted by: Bernard Howe (ID *****8267) Date: May 24, 2007 at 18:03:50

I was told my lineage comes from Edward and Elizabeth Howe who arrived in the new world in the 1600's.

I have traced my family back to a John Howe whom married a Harriet Carpenter in New York. This family is shown in the 1850 Jefferson county census living in Wilna with 3 children. In 1860 Harriet is living with her father in antwerp with 2 small children both who were born in Antwerp, Two of the others are living with her brother E. A. Carpenter in antwerp.

The Carpenter family moved to Antwerp from Montgomery county New York.

Does anyone have any information that can help me in my research.

thank you
Bernard Howe
