William, a native of Ireland, married Catherine O'Rourke. His bride was also from Ireland according to the NY census records. Date and place of marriage unknown. Buried at Old St. Mary's Cemetery, Little Falls, NY. William and Catherine had 3 children: Elizabeth, Ellen aka Ella (Whalen) Cogovan, and Mary aka Minnie (Whalen) Arnold all born in New York.
