In researching the MANZER family of Northampton, I have come across a few SWEET family members. The MANZER's are my mother's family and we are directly descended from your Sylvenus SWEET. These two families, along with the GIFFORD family, moved to Tryon County (later Fulton & Hamilton Counties) from Rensselaer County around 1800. I can share the following information on SWEET's who married MANZERS:

1. 5th Generation: Lawrence MANZER

The family moved frequently between Giffords Valley, Benson and the Town of Mayfield.
