Cole Family from Genesee Co. to Wisconsin in 1840's

I am looking for information on William J.Cole who lived in Genesee County w/ his family. He died in 1845 or 1846 and presumably was buried in the area. He was married to Melissa (Pepper) Cole and they had three children: William Harrison Cole, Sally Cole and George Spencer Cole. After her husband's death, Melissa married Horace Chapin, and the whole family moved to Wisconsin and eventually settled around York township in Wisconsin.

Does anyone know any information on the family of William J. Cole? We know that the Cole family came to N.Y. from Massachusetts, but we cannot get back any further than William J. Cole. Any information would be helpful. thank you.
