Christine, The 1830 census is the first one that the Benhams show up on. There are three male heads of households, all living close to one another: Bartholomeus, Ezra & Charles S. For some reason the 1840 does not seem to include Byron, at least not on Ancestry.com. In 1850, the first census to list all members of a household by name, there are 13 male Benhams, including Curtis & 22 females. Four or five of the males are heads of their own households but all are living in the same general area of the town. Bartholomew is still there in 1850; he`s 67. I found Bert Gall & family on the 1910 & 1920 census. He`s on the same page as Lydia Miller & her sons, George W. & Charles. In 1920 the road is South Byron, no lot or street numbers. The Enumeration District # 231. The Peter Farrants are in ED # 19 in 1920. I have no idea how they arrived at ED numbers, though. The Coward family (Wheaton 37, wife Frances, & family) & a Rachel Coward 61 are living very close to the Galls & Millers in 1920 & also Earl Farrant & his family are in the same neighborhood. I can send you some of these census pages if you want to e-mail me(click on my name above this message). Pat Notify Administrator about this message?
