Be aware that if your ancestors were buried at St Mary's, Brushton there is a possibility that their remains and headstones were bulldozed in the mid 1940's to make a parking lot next to the church. My ancestors included Labelle and Jock/Jacques members. Some graves are in St Mary's cemetery on Gale Rd, while others like my ggg-grandfather Joseph Labelle were destroyed. His headstone is probably in the woods behind the church. My aunt and I did find his son, Joe Jr.s stone in the woods and we gave it to his granddaughter who petitioned to have it placed in the Gale Rd cemetery. A family plot could also mean a plot in an established cemetery. Just a thought. Jeanne (McCarthy) DeSantis
