"Facts and Fallacies" [Brushton, Franklin Co., NY], Thursday, 7 Oct 1915:
Mrs. Hattie Colvin died at her home in this village Saturday evening, October 2nd, of a complication of diseases after an illness of many weeks, although it was for only the last few days that she was confined to her bed and her condition considered critical. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. C. Shaw of the Christian church officiating. The body was taken to her former home in South Wallingford, Vt., for burial, leaving here on the early train Monday morning. Mrs. Colvin was a member of H. L. Aldrich W. R. C. and the members attended the funeral in a body. She was 67 years old and leaves five daughters and one son: Misses Ella and Ora, who lived with their mother, Mrs. Sidney Whitney and Mrs. Fred Larkin of this place, Mrs. Bertha Tinkham of Manchester, N. H. and Elmer Colvin also of Manchester, all of whom were here for the funeral.

Note: Hattie Maxham was the wife of Job Henry Colvin of Danby and Wallingford, Rutland Co., VT. After his death in 1890, she and her children moved to Franklin County.
