Vorbeck and Seemann Families

Attempting to locate information on Christian Vorbeck and Leonard Seemann(?) who lived in the areas of Tonawanda and Grand Island near Buffalo New York in Erie County. They are in the 1860 census on Grand Island. I believe that Leonard Seemann's, who came from Holland, daughter Anna Elisabeth married Christian sometime around 1856.

Christian and Anna "Yetta" moved to Livingston County Missouri around 1867 and lived there the remainder of their lives. The couple had five children three of which reached adulthood. William F.F., Sophia Charlotta and Anna Catherine. Christian died in 1884 and Anna on May 12,1891. Both are buried in the Jones Cemetery in Livingston County Missouri.

Christian came to the U.S. in April or May of 1850 via Quebec Canada. He was born circa 1828 in Mecklenberg near the Denmark border. He came to the U.S. with a brother Carl Vorbeck. Help is much appreciated and will try to supply any information and help you would like.
