Joyce, I find Alfred Bowen on the 1910 & 1930 census & on the WWI draft reg. In 1910 he is age 24 living in Hamburg, NY with wife Luala & daughter Violet, age 1 yr, 9mo. His occupation is given as laborer. In 1930 he is age 45 & in Buffalo listed as a widower living with his brother Leslie. His occ. is stationery engineer at a hotel. His WWI draft registration gives his birthdate as March 21, 1886. He gives his occ. as stationery engineer at the Lafayette Hotel, Buffalo. His nearest relative is given as Emoline Crosby, his mother of East Concord, NY. I wasn`t able to find Alfred on the 1920 census. Alfred`s parents, as you may know, were Lafayette Bowen & Emmeline. He appears on the 1900 census with them in Concord, Erie Co. There are a few databases at WorldConnect that include this family. The most recent is here: http://tinyurl.com/m9ugcc Pratt & Lambert was a paint manufacturer in Buffalo. I`m not related. Pat R. Notify Administrator about this message?
