William A. Hopkins 1785-1864 and his wife Eunice ? b.1795 were both born in Vermont. In the 1840 Census they are in Collins, Erie Co., NY.
Children:
William H. Hopkins b.1819
Lewis b.1822
Lucy b.1824 m. ? Stanley
Nancy b.1815 m. ? Salmon
I would like to know more about this family, especially the wife and children of William H. Hopkins b.1819.
I'm hoping he's the father of my William Henry Hopkins b1838 Springwell or Springville, Erie Co., NY and died 1911 Odebolt, Sac Co., Iowa. William Henry married Kate Moore b.1847NY on Dec 28, 1864 in Andrew, Jackson Co., Iowa after his return from the Civil War.
5 kids: only one son William B. Hopkins b.1865, a druggist who owned 5 stores in 5 states: IA, OH, IN, KY and TX.
Any help greatly appreciated. Many Hopkins from Vermont ended up in Erie Co., NY. I have lots of names if anyone needs them. Thanks, Lee
