Henry Shepard was born 26 Aug 1749 in Canterbury CT. He married Esther Bundy in 1771 in Westfield MA. In the 1830 census Henry Shepard is listed for the town of Collins. In 1832 he applied for a Rev War pension from Ellicottville, Cattaraugus County. I am hoping to find where and when he died, as well as his wife Esther (Bundy)Shepard.
I have written town of Collins historian and the town clerk as well as the Erie County surrogate court with inquiries. The Cattaraugus County in the Surrogate Court: searched 1830 to 1914, no record of estates for Henry Shepard or Esther Bundy Shepard.
I also checked in Otsego County where Henry lived for a time, and no estate records there either. 1800 census he is living in Delaware County NY Franklin TWP
In 1810 can’t find
In 1820 there is a Henry Shepard in Unadilla, Otsego NY
also a Henry Shepard in Eden, Niagara County in 1820
Has anyone working on Erie County come across this family?
