In my research, Thankful WEBSTER (b 1787)who was the daughter of James and Sarah WEBSTER of Delaware Co. NY, married Chauncey WATTLES. I believe (no documentation) their son was Ansel WATTLES who had a daughter Cynthia who married her second cousin Otis WEBSTER (b1827). I know Otis died in Victor NY

The WATTLES and WEBSTER families are mentioned in 1800 census Franklin, Delaware, one of them being Sluman WATTLES , another Sluman WATTLES Jr

The 1860 Gazetteer of NY State pub 1980, reports Sluman WATTLES, afterward judge, was the first white settler who built his cabin in the valley of the Ouleout. He came in 1785 and was accompanied by his brothers John and Roger and his sisters Sarah and Caroline. The town was surveyed under Judge WATTLES who acquired one of the four shares.
