I came upon your message purely by accident, but I'm quite interested in it.

Do you know anything about the Wickson family? My gggg-grandfather, Barnabas Wixom, was born in Yarmouth, MA, in 1740, and around 1800 moved to Dutchess County, NY. Very little is known of his life, or anything about his marriage. He had at least eight children including a son named Barnabas, and I know that some members of the family used various spellings including Wixson and perhaps Wickson. Some members of the family moved to Ohio and became Mormons. I am descended from his daughter Dorcas Tabitha.
