Bessie (1892-1984), a School Teacher in Delaware Co.,is believed to have prepared a genealogy of the Shackelton family. The first named is John Shackelton, b c1819, is believed to have emigrated from Scotland. Wife unknown but a son, William, is believed to have been b in Livingston Co in 1851, but his & succesive generations are believed to have farmed in & about Delaware Co.
Other family names may include Oldman, Constable, Carr, Durante, Geir, Broadneck, Keck, Barnim, Alden, Cummings, Harrison, Schlemmer or Zullo.
