Solomon K Babcock (New York, moved to Henry Co Ohio) b. ~1809

Hi: Looking for information on the following: I am not sure what area of New York.

Solomon K. Babcock (~1809) - was married in New York and moved to Henry Co., Ohio sometime around 1850 - bringing with him several children (Eleanor (b ~1830), Nancy (b ~ 1833), John (b~1835, Mary (b~1836), Solomon (?), William, & Elizabeth. (From 1850 Census of Henry Co, Ohio). No spouse is shown on the census (nor is he shown to be widowed, but I assume this is the case).

In 1851 he married Nancy Ann Kinsler and had several additional children: Nancy Ann b.1852, Augustus Pilliod (known as Pillod, b 1855), Catharine (b 1856), Marcus D. (known also as Lafayette, b 1860), Susan (b 1863) and Permilia (Millie, b 1868).

I am in search of information on the Mother and Father (and any siblings) of Solomon K Babcock who would have resided in New York - I have been unable to find any records prior to 1850, which is when the family relocated to Henry Co., Ohio. Also, for what it's worth, K may stand for Kellog or Kelloge - I believe it to be a family name, as my grandfather (Richard "Dick" Kellog Babcock) had this as a middle name and it has also been passed along to several uncles and cousins.
Many thanks for any information!
-Anna
