Thanks for the info. I tried the historical society a few years ago and they had no information on Silas, only on another Polley family which has no connection to mine that I have found yet. I'm beginning to think that his family must have moved right after his birth. I'll keep plugging on the internet, but I think a visit is going to be necessary. Thanks again.
