Thank you so much for your reply

Colonel Pierce was born in Burlington Vermont, July 23 1785. I don't know too much about his life, or career. He married Olive Bernice Shedd, born June 21, 1794 in Rome New York. They made their home in Truxton New York, and had the following children all born in Truxton:

Chandler Pierce November 10, 1815 to April 28, 1895
William
Betsy
Lavinia -married Jason Hill of Truxton
Ezekial
Olive -married Ebenezar Burrington of Truxton
Mary

Colonel Pierce died October 4, 1855, and Olive died April 21, 1846.

My great-great grandfather was Chandler Pierce who married Rowena Handy, born July 20, 1818 in Apula New York. They moved to Wisconsin, but not before they had the following children, all born in Truxton:

Emily Pierce 1838 to 1930
Morris Riley Pierce 1848 to 1849 born and died in Truxton
William Smith Pierce 1841 to 1916 - my great grandfather.

I do hope some of the above information meshes with the information you have. My grandfathers history was written some 30 years ago, and we haven't been able to discover who his ancstors were.

Again, thank you for your reply, and I hope to hear from yu soon.
Dana
