I am seeking parents or siblings of my 2G grandfather Silas Polley born ca. 1837 in Cortland Co. He later moved to Michigan as a young man and enlisted in Union Army in 1861 in Illinois and settled there in Freeport after the war. He married Louisa Pope during a furlough. They had three children, Frank, Hattie, Charlie or John. Frank lived in Chicago and with a grandaughter visited relatives in the Lake Skaneatles area around 1940. I would appreciate any info on the Polley family. I know there was a Pliny Polley in the area in the early 1800's, but I don't know if we are related.
