Hi Sallyann

I know how frustrating it is when it our relatives seem to just fall off the face of the earth, hopefully some day soon you will be able to track her down. Do you know if they stayed in the Clinton County, New York area?

Regarding George Sasseville, I guess it is possible that he was married more than once. We know that he was married 01 January 1874, and we know from the documentation that a child was born on 27 November 1874.

Have you been able to locate the Sasseville family on any census records? I did a cursory search of any possibilities and found "a possible" in the 1880 Peru, Clinton County, Census...look under the name Julia Sansville.

Ambroise Caouette married Zoe Lapointe 06 September 1875 at St. John the Baptist in Keeseville. I believe the name "Gauette" is a distortion of the name Caouette.

Hope this helps,
Laurie
