Hey Paul, Thanks for your response. CAn you give me any more informaion? I have been trying to piecemeal information to come to a solid conclusion of his parentage. He definately was married to Ida Feacto and had three children: Raleigh b. June 1897, Hubert Guy B. Feb 1900,and Leon who died at birth -1902. I do not see him buried at St Alexanders cemetery, but the church records indiate he was buried 14 Jan 1958 at age 86 the son of Wiliam and husband of Ida Facteau. Thats the for sure stuff! Information at this site. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~frgen/index.htm I found an obituary for William Trombley who died 4 January 1958 - listing birthday as 1 July 1873. Survivers included one son, Leonard. (My William had only one son that survived him-- Hubert Guy. However, mistakes can be made especially when one is grieving) Other survivers were a brother, Charles and a sister Aurillia LaRocque --3 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. (I find several more grandchildren, but I do not know how many of them were alive at that time.) Info found at folowing site: http://news2.nnyln.net/clinton-county/search.html In my searching I found a William in the 1880 census listed as stepson to John Terry and wife Ann Eliza. Also listed was brother Napolian and sister Eliza. I back tracted to 1870 and found where I found this family. Our William was not yet born, but the father was William and the mother was Eliza. I am thinking this is him which corrolates with your information of parentage. I have also found William in the 1900 census married to Ida where it indicates his birth year and month as July 1872. In 1880 he was listed as 6 years old making his birth year abt 1874 and his obit said 1 July 1873. I think this is the our guy. Where did you get March 1872? I think you are right about parentage - give me more information. Thanks, Camille Notify Administrator about this message?
