John Ivins & Caroline Hickock

I am looking for information on John Ivins & Caroline Hickock (I have also seen the name as Hitchcock).

John Ivins was born ca 1824 in New Jersey and I believe he was the John Ivins who appeared in Trenton, NJ in 1850 - at that point he was single). In 1860 John and his wife Caroline appear in Bloomington, IL.

Caroline was born about 1835 in New York. She died in 1861 in Bloomington, IL.

On December 3, 1853 their daughter Josephine (or Sarrah Josephine)was born in Plasterville, NY. Josephine appears in Bloomington, IL in 1860. The 1870-1920 censuses show her living with her uncle, Albert E. Mallory & aunt Melissa Briggs Mallory in Otego County. Caroline Ivins died 9 December 1924 in Richfield Springs, NY.

Albert E. Mallory was a son of Nathan Edward Mallory & Louisa Hickock. Albert was born 18 July 1841 in Butternuts, Otego County and died 1 November 1926 in Unadilla. Melissa Mallory died in Unadilla on 8 January 1921.

Would anyone have any information on John & Caroline Hickock Ivins or the Hickock family? I am trying to determine when/where John and Caroline were married & where Caroline fits into the Hickock family.
