Bill: Your Nathan Curtis was the 5th generation descendent of William Curtis of Scituate, MA, landed 1638. I am also of that line so we are distant cousins. William was born in Ash, Kent COunty England in 1627. Nathan's father was Luther Curtis (1749-1830) of Chesterfield, MA. Luther's father was Elisha Curtis (1705-?) of Hampshire Co, MA. Elisha's father was Joseph Curtis (1664-1726) of Scituate, MA whose father was William Curtis, first immigrant ancestor. I am searching for info on Joanna Curtis of Otsego County about 1802 when she marries Seba Norton, Jr.
