Following up on research of Jonathan Brown who is found on many census records in Smithville until his death in the civil war in 1862.
His first marriage was to Lucy Wright 23 Oct. 1831. Two girls were born; Elizabeth Jane and Lucy Ann. Lucy Ann married M. E. Kinsman.
No info as to when Lucy Wright Brown died.
Jonathan Brown married 2nd Laura Whitmarsh 16 May 1839.
Two children were born; 1. Albert Jonathan Brown, born 19 April 1841, died 11 Nov. 1862 (2 months after his father died in the civil war), 29 Sept. 1862. 2. Ellen Louisa Brown born 8 Feb 1850, d. 1906. Married Andrew Clinton Bailey, 3 Sept. 1965 in Markeson, Green Lake, WI.
After Jonathan Brown died his wife, Laura married Moses Kent and lived in Iowa.
Looking for Jonathan's parents. Have much to share.
