Hi Libby,

I'm happy to share whatever information I have, problem is it's not much. My "brick wall" in the GIBSON line is my 3rd great grandfather JACOB GIBSON born 1805-1810 in Stark, Herkimer, NY married ELIZABETH WHITE born 1808 Hook Green Samberhurst, England. I descend through their last child (of six) EMORY MENZO GIBSON, born 25 Jan 1846 in Herkimer, Herkimer, NY. I have a copy of Emory Menzo's death certificate confirming the above names and that he was born in Herkimer (apparantly his father Jacob died in 1856 and his family moved to Dement, Ogle, IL). I have searched every avenue I can think of including a possible connection with Jacob GIBSON son of William Gibson. With the county boundaries changing so much I have followed leads in surrounding counties, especially as Emory Menzo's siblings were born in Oswego & Otsego counties. listed William GIBSON married to Ester Kasson with 8 children, including Jacob born 1773 which would be a possibility for father to my Jacob born abt 1805. Also there was another son named Chauncey and my ancestor Emory Menzo also had a brother named Chauncey.

I have quite a bit of documentation from Emory Menzo Gibson down to myself and will happy to share that with you if you think it might be pertinant.
