Looking for a volunteer to take photo of Soldiers and Sailors Monument at St.Andrew's Cemetery, New Berlin . The right side of the Monument is my Lewis E. Tew .
Lewis E. Tew b. abt. 1843 d. Oct. 19 , 1864 , age 21 yrs .Lewis E. Tew Enlisted as a private on 02 Aug. 1862 in New Berlin , NY, at the age of 19 . Enlisted in Co. F, 114 th Infanty Regiment NY.on 12 Aug
1862 promoted to full Corporal on 15 Jan. 1864 (est. day) killed on 19 October 1864 in Cedar Creek , VA

Cemetery grounds of St. Andrew's Church in New Berlin: Civil War: Soldiers' Monument constructed of the best Rhode Island gray granite, stands over twenty feet high, and weighs over thirty-one tons. It is surmounted by the figure of a soldier of the same material. The names of the following persons who "Died for their Country" are inscribed upon it:- Front side.
