I read your posting, and I would be interested in your Burlingame genealogical info if there's a connection.
I'm searching for parents and siblings of Almira Burlingame. She was born about 1816, married Artemus Haynes (my ggg-grandfather) before 1834, and then died at an early age in 1848. Their children were; Samuel (my gg-grandfather) b.June 30, 1834 in Oxford, Chenango Co., NY, d.October 13, 1899 in Oil City, PA and buried at Grove Hill Cemetary in Oil City, PA; Ira b.? and d.March 1902 near Los Angeles; Elizabeth married Marshall J. Rogers; Mary married Unknown Merrick; Nancy b.March 29, 1848, and married Unknown Lucas; and Caroline married Samuel Lucas.
Samuel Haynes married Jane Wetmore, and their daughter Kate Nichols Haynes (they had 5 children all girls) was my great-grandmother.
I have quite a bit of info from Artemus down but I don't have much on his wife Almira Burlingame. Any info would be deeply appreciated.
Also: If you know anyone connected to Samuel Haynes who may have an interest; I have numerous letters he wrote over a number of years to his father, and his wife, some during the civil war which are fascinating! The letters begin in the year 1852 and continue through to 1864.
Thank you.
