He married Ann Maria Allcott (our connection) who was born 22 May 1816 in Ballston Springs NY She died 18 Sep 1854. Dr. Lapham was the father of the U.S. Weather Service, and founder of the Wisconsin State Historical Society A number of landmarks here in Wisconsin are named after him.
