My gggrandfather Lewis Carncross m. 2 Widow Mary Main or Vaine after 1852. A Mary Chappell m. Willis Maine [written with e] who died 1852, buried Taylor Rural Cemetery, Cortland Co. NY. Willis & Mary had five children, one, Lewis Main [without e] owned property in Taylor on Solon Pond, where my grandfather Daniel Carncross had a sawmill. The Carncrosses lived in Smyrna, Chenango Co. - next town to Pharsalia. We would like to find out more about Mary. Happy to share info.
