The only Wylie family on the census indexes for Elmira is on the 1930, headed by Drummond Wylie. I`ll type that below. In 1920 there is a Thomas Wyle, b. abt. 1889 in PA. in Elmira. He is a roomer in a boarding house. His parents were born Scotland. In 1910 this Thomas is also a roomer in Elmira. Also in 1910 Elmira, there is an Orman Wylie, b. abt. 1852 in PA. who is widowed. He is living with his housekeeper Hettie Tabor & her daughter.
In Horseheads, Chemung Co. in 1930 is a William Wylie family. William was born abt. 1886 in PA. His parents were born in Scotland. Wife is Stella & there are four children. The Thomas Wylie on the 1910 & 1920 is living next door to this family. These three Wylies, Thomas, William & Drummond, may be brothers.
