Body of Message:

I am a descendent of Noah and Anna Brees Hammond, the parents of Stephen Hammond, husband of Abadina Farber. It would make some simple sense that the Stephen Hammond and Adaline Hammond found in Bradford Co., PA is the same Hammond family because many Anna Brees' siblings, along with many Rorick family members (another hammond connected family) also moved to Bradford CO. PA; Chemung CO, NY region in the early 1800's, circa 1825/1830. There were many from the Sussex County, NJ region that moved to Bradford Co. PA region during this time. I believe, not totally positive, that a sibling of Stephen's, Ezra Hammond, may also have moved to that NY/PA region of Chemung and Bradford Co. There is some speculation that the other Hammond's in that region may have been cousins through Noah Hammond of Coram, Suffolk CO., NY. Some of the Brees' stayed with a Lebbeus (Lebbens) Hammond who is a nephew of Noah Hammond of Coram which strengthens the theory that Noah Hammond of Sussex Co., NJ may have been a son of Noah Hammond in Coram, NY.

More than you wanted I am sure but it does strengthen the theory of Stephen Hammond's origins.

Fred L Hammond
