Harmony vs North Harmony

I just returned from a wonderful stay in NW Pennsylvania, many times my mother and I passed through Harmony only to see a sign for North Harmony. Is there a difference? I am very curious to know. It seems some of my ancestors went to the area of Harmony before they traveled onto NW Pennsylvania, it seems they arrived in NW Pa. about 1848 or so. These ancestors are very elusive at the current time, but that makes the chase all that more fun.
They, Anson S Johnson and Olive Allen, seem to have been married in Auburn,NY, traveled to the Harmony/Panama area before they traveled on to Corry,Pa. They had quite a few children that came of age, it seems 2 died at a young age.
In the 1860 census records, it shows the father of Olive,Wm. Allen living with his other daughter in Harmony, the nearest Post office was Stedman, after that, he seems to disappear. I am getting desperate to locate this man, perhaps he will "open up" something else! (wishful thinking)
