St. Nicholas Orthodox Church was founded on December 1, 1908. The missionary work and incentive to organize was started by Very Rev. Alexander Hotovitsky (now St Alexander, New-Martyr of Russia), Dean of the New York Cathedral. Fr Alexander came to Auburn on August 26, 1908 at the request of Thomas Garbinsky to perform funeral services for Mary Zanoviak.and more etc
