Richard,

The 1880 census does not give the immigration year of foreign born persons. I can send you the image of the page if you e-mail me. In 1900 Joseph H. Ruper, b. Germany in May 1863 is in new Albion, Catt. Co. His year of immig. is given as 1872.
Mary Ruper b. Germany in Nov. 1837 is in Otto in 1900, also with an immig. year of 1872.
