I never heard of Isaac Phineas, although that's obviously the name of the two grandfathers. I assume he died an infant. Jason supposedly came to Lyndon late in 1840 - can't remember how I know that.
Sarah E. was born in Lyndon about 1844 and died of tuberculosis in August 1866, buried in Halsey Valley Cemetery in Spencer, NY. She married 14 March 1863 as the second of his three wives George R. Dikeman (1838 Candor, NY - 1908 Newark Valley, NY) The only child of this marriage was my ancestor George Jason Dikeman (1864 Spencer, NY-1927 Fredonia, NY)
(Thomas) Elliott Sherman (24Jan1847 Lyndon, NY-7 March1924)bur. in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville, NY, married Emily A. Talbot (1845 Farmersville, NY - 1911 Palmer, MA) dau. of Morris and Polly. They originally lived in Franklinville, NY, then moved to Leroy, NY, then by 1900 were in Palmer, MA. Their children were: Charles M. Sherman b. ca. 1873, living in Boston, MA in 1911; and Elva A. Sherman b. ca 1878 of New Bedford, MA, who was apparently unmarried in 1911.
Rachel Pluma (26Oct1850 Lyndon, NY -28Feb1868 Lyndon, NY) bur. in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville, NY. She was the wife of Marion Lyman, but she died without issue aged 17.
Nancy Amelia Sherman (3May1853 or 1854 Lyndon, NY -20Aug1942, bur. Mt. View Cemetery, Logan, Beaver County, OK) married in Lyndon 1874 Shelby Ithiel Spaulding. Their known children were: Ned I. Spaulding b. ca. 1876, and Nettie DeEtta Spauding (July1879-1955) who was apparently unmarried. The Spauldings lived in Sugartown, Humphrey, NY in 1880; in Haddam, Washington County KS in 1886; were in Logan, OK before 1928.
(John) Monroe Sherman (Nov1856 Lyndon, NY -1949, bur. Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, NY) m. 1883 (Emma) Celia ____
(1861-1938). Their children were: Vera E. b.ca. 1884; Lincoln M. b.ca. 1888; and Irene C. b.ca. 1895. They lived in Franklinville, Hinsdale (1892), and Salamanca (1911).
