This is from the Olean Times Herald, Oct 11, 2001:
"SALAMANCA — Norman Sherman, 88, of 451 Broad St., formerly of 48 1/2 Academy St., Salamanca, died Wednesday (Oct. 10, 2001) in the Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center."

Online listing of Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca:
"SHERMAN, Norman born 4-1-1913 died 10-10- 2001 Age 88 - b. Salamanca NY- Son of Lincoln & Grace Sherman US Army WW II"

If I get a chance to check the Salamanca newspaper I will look for Norman.
